How to Know What Social Platforms to Use to Share Your Travel Experience

As a traveler who wants to use your love, knowledge, and experiences in travel to inspire and help others, it can be quite overwhelming when trying to figure out what social platforms you should post on.  I completely understand!

Some ways to help you figure out where you should be showing up on are to consider:

What type of content are you sharing?
Where are you trying to drive traffic to?
What is your end goal?
Are you trying to generate an income?
What is your niche?
Who is your target market?  Your ideal readers or viewers?
Are you sharing video or written content?
What is your motive to share online?
What are you comfortable with? Do you like doing videos or Facebook Live?
What do you enjoy doing most? Do you love showing your face and being on camera? Do you love writing?

When trying to figure out what social platforms you should be on, you first need to know more about each platform and their types of users.

For example:

Facebook is a social network.  Its users love interacting with others, building connections, absorbing video of various lengths and written content, and finding like-minded people.

Instagram is visual.  Its users like the visual appeal to Instagram pages and seeing photos and short videos.

Pinterest is a search engine.  Its users use it to search for specific topics and then see visuals that lead them to written content.

YouTube is also a search engine.  Its users search video topics.

Linkedin is a professional social network. Its users are looking to build relationships with other professionals and seek career opportunities.

Twitter is an information and connection based platform.  Its users like to share links and opinions and reach out to specific people through tagging them.

This Travel Coach Certification Program is designed to help you go from just a traveler who craves having their own business using what they know and love about travel to becoming a travel coach with a niche, a message, a brand, a mission, and a purpose.
